So, as you probably figured, I didn't make the cut into the Darkstalkers Tribute book. And it's okay, seriously, I don't mind. I didn't expect to get in - and there's always next time!

After a week of intense struggling, cursing and general eating, I realised that I simply could not draw Morrigan. Frack! I rushed like a crazy beast on the final day to get something in, however heinous, which ultimately resulted in something I was really unhappy with.

What you see here is a massively revamped version of my Darkstalkers epic fail -- and even still, I'm pretty disappointed in it. I know there are still lots of flaws. However, what gets me the most is that it's not like my usual pieces. There's no emotion behind this -- it was more forced, contrived. It's clichéd & hollow.

But I've done what I can for it, and I'm just not gonna touch it again. It was a sordid experience for me. I'll take what I learnt from it and grow from the experience.

And the one day, Morrigan, I'm gonna draw you again. *grim*
