A piece commissioned by the lovely *teash83. This is her character, Sophia. Once a ballerina on the tightrope, now a vampire huntress.
I fell in love with this character straight away! I was given a lot of freedom with this piece, and I had a lot of fun with it -- everything from deciding the pose, to designing the costume. It made me miss my dancing days.  I wanted this to have a vintage look. Also, I know some parts are messy & weirdly painted.. I'm still trying to figure out this loose style of mine. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
