This picture is dedicated to my sister. Though we are ten years apart, nothing prevents us from understanding each other completely. A successful lawyer, headstrong, brilliant, vibrant and confident woman, she remains a constant inspiration. She's been with me all my life, and has never failed to support, protect and advise me. She's pulled me out of scrapes, she's kicked common sense into me. She's my rock; she's my best friend. She's the most important thing in the whole wide universe to me, but -- don't tell her that. This is just an infinitely small fraction of my gratitude. It was the least I could do.

This is Akuzhin, Raven's grandmammy. She's a sorceress of unimaginable power, being the top expert in dark magicks. She looks hella young because she preserved her youth with the use of her magickal abilities (she's, like, a frillion years old). Her extreme cunning and beauty have granted her with a clear path to success. She thrives on independance, and though she has a penchant for using others, never relies on anyone but herself. She loves no-one. Something of a manipulative sadist and masochist, Akuzhin is obsessed with absolute domination - and eventually achieves that goal.

Man, I almost baulked when I sat down to draw this. I was looking at my old sketch and wondering how the hell I could've been bothered to draw her hair. But after a while, I got into it. This took.. many crazy hours. Around twenty, I guess? Possibly more. The hair, well, that consumed most of my time - as you can imagine. I got many crazy hand-cramps. I insist that you go FULL VIEW because there's just so much work in the hair. ;_;

I've been wanting to draw this for over two years, now. And comparing it to the original ([link]), I daresay I've improved, somewhat.
